 1986     Licenciated in Dentistry (DDS, Sao Paulo State University-UNESP)

 1994  Master Degree  in Restorative Dentistry (MS, Sao Paulo State University-UNESP)

 1995    Licenciate in Laser applications (University of Sao Paulo, SP)

 1997    Doctorate in Restorative Dentistry (PhD, Sao Paulo State University-UNESP)

 2005    Associate Professor at Sao Paulo State University-UNESP

 2011    Invited Visiting Researcher (BERC- Bioengineering Research Center, University of Kansas-USA)

 2012    Present- Editor-in-chief of the Brazilian Dental Science Journal

 2017    Present- Vice President of the GBPD (Brazilian Group of Professors in Dentistry); Member of IADR (International Association of Dental Research); Member of ADM (Academy of Dental Materials); Member of ALODYB (Latim America Association in Operative Dentistry)

 2018    Present- Full Professor at Sao Paulo State University-UNESP

 He has authored about 100 scientific and clinical articles in peer-reviewed journals, is a well-sought lecturer, receiver of several awards and has held many continuing education courses in Brazil and Latim America. His expertise is on Restorative Dentistry and his scientific work focuses on adhesion to dental tissues, chemical and mechanical properties of dental materials and laser.

He was vice-coordinator of Graduate Program in Restorative Dentistry and Head of Restorative Dentistry Department at Sao Paulo State University. He was also responsable for the undergraduation disciplines, as: Operative Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry and Dental Sculpture.
