He has authored about 100 scientific and clinical articles in peer-reviewed journals, is a well-sought lecturer, receiver of several awards and has held many continuing education courses in Brazil and Latim America. His expertise is on Restorative Dentistry and his scientific work focuses on adhesion to dental tissues, chemical and mechanical properties of dental materials and laser.
He was vice-coordinator of Graduate Program in Restorative Dentistry and Head of Restorative Dentistry Department at Sao Paulo State University. He was also responsable for the undergraduation disciplines, as: Operative Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry and Dental Sculpture.
